That is a tough question because I know nothing about you or what your life experiences have taught you. You want it to be honest, so I will try to be as open as I can be.

I think you are pro life, but have blinded yourself to the fact that the reactionary conservative judges that the Republicans have put into place are going to do a great deal of harm far beyond perhaps overturning Roe v Wade. They have already approved of gerrymandering. They have interfered in national elections which is beyond their provenance. They are undermining voting rights and the rights of consumers to redress grievances against large corporations. I could go on, but this is only the tip of the iceberg.

You obviously do not care that this President is a misogynist who believes women are here to meet his carnal needs. You must not honor fidelity since Mr. Trump cheated on his pregnant wife with a known porn star. You cannot believe in fair business practices because you supported an individual who is well known for his constant abuse of contractors who have been cheated by him. You must excuse his child like practice of belittling anyone who displeases him through constant name calling or threats to maybe “lock them up” or “send them back “.

You obviously do not care that this man is guilty of nepotism or that he totally ignores the vetting process to promote individuals that are known to be incompetent. You obviously do not care that a foreign government who definitely does not have the best interest of the United States in mind overtly meddled in our elections on his behalf. You must believe in Voodoo economics since you bought a permanent major tax break for the wealthiest people in this country on the promise that it would trickle down to the middle class.

You have shown yourself to be naive by not requiring a candidate for President to produce evidence of his business and school history as have all other past candidates. You have watched this individual smear true American heroes and Gold Star families while he manufactured an excuse to dodge the draft.

You evidently do not care that this man is a consummate liar, but declares anyone of questioning his fabrications as the harbinger of “false news “. You have chosen to ignore the blood and tears that have been shed to forge our sacred alliances in favor of an individual who heaps praise on autocrats such as Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, President Erdogan, President Duterte, and the Saudi Royal family.

I have not mentioned the fact that Mr. Trump has filed bankruptcy six times. He is a known associate of a pedophile. He has made crude suggestions about his own daughter. He has in two and a half years more than doubled the deficit incurred under President Obama, and President Obama had to negotiate a solution to the Great Recession of 2008 during his years in office. His treatment of small children at the border is a permanent stain on our nation’s reputation.

I could go on, but I am sure that Republican spin masters will try and excuse all of these transgressions. The problem is, most of their excuses are becoming old and stale. I left one transgression off this list because it is the most divisive and dangerous of them all. He is a racist and is guilty of providing sustenance to some of the vilest instincts in the history of this country.

Please take heed of these shortcomings. This man does not deserve your respect or support. A single issue should never be the sum criteria for obtaining your vote and allegiance. If nothing else, character of the individual should be the most important factor. In Mr. Trump’s case, character is a trait that is sadly missing.
